Pune: 150 Grams Gold Jewellery, Rs 2 Lakh Cash Recovered From ‘Lock Repair Technician’

Pune, 30th July 2022: A case was reported that two persons entered the house under the pretext of fixing the lock and decamped with jewellery and cash in the house.
In this case, Pune city police have arrested the accused Pradhan Singh alias Pathan Bakhtawar Singh Shiklikar (41), a resident of Ektanagar, Nandurbar and detained his minor accomplice. There are seven cases registered in Gujarat and other states.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 2) Sagar Patil informed that Bundgarden Police station staff have seized 150 grams gold ornaments and Rs two lakh cash from their possession.
On July 26, the complainant Jyoti Kamble of Tadiwala Road called the lock repair workers to repair the cupboard in the house after seeing them in the colony. At that time, the accused sent her to fetch some materials and when she left the place they had stolen the jewellery and money.
On the basis of the CCTV footage received by the police, the investigation of the case started. The information was shared with police units in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Policeman Nitin Jagtap of Bundgarden police sent the relevant CCTV footage to the crime branch teams in Gujarat to trace the accused based on technical analysis.

Accordingly, the name of the accused was revealed and it was disclosed that they are from Nandurbar. A team led by Sub-Inspector Rahul Pawar went to Nandurbar. There, with the help of the local police, the two accused were nabbed.
The investigation team included Senior Police Inspector Pratap Mankar, Police Inspector (Crime) Ashwini Satpute, PSI Rahul Pawar, and police personnel Nitin Jagtap, Anil Kusalkar, Sanjay Vanve, Kiran Talekar, Dyana Bade, Sagar Ghorpade, Manoj Bhokare, Satish Mundhe and Shivaji Sarak.
