Pune, December 29, 2020: A second wave of COVID has been reported in England. The second wave of coronavirus is said to be more severe. So there has been a lockdown in England for a few days. Meanwhile, other countries have begun to take care and have imposed restrictions on Britain’s flights. Similarly, information has come to light which raises the concern of Pune residents.

Out of 542 passengers from Britain, 109 have not been contacted yet. The health department’s concern has been heightened by the fact that the address and phone number provided by these passengers are not traceable. Many have their phones turned off and some are not at the given address. The Pune Municipal Corporation’s health department has given this information to the Pune police. At present, it is a big challenge for the police to find these 109 people.

“Those who came from Britain or European countries after 25th November were categorised as Pune city, Pimpri Chinchwad city and Pune rural area residents. We have a list of 300 people. RTPCR of 270 people has also been done. But some names are not being revealed. The Municipal Corporation has handed over a letter to the police in this regard and has lodged a complaint,” informed Pune Mayor Muraldhir Mohol.
