Pune: 11-Year-Old Boy Beaten And Kept Hungry For Coming Home Late, Grandmother And Aunt Booked

Pune 31st August 2023: In a shocking incident reported in Yerawada, an 11-year-old boy was beaten and kept hungry by his grandmother and aunt for coming home late as he goes to practice Dhol Tasha with a group. The incident came to light after the patrolling team of Yerawada Police Station was informed by two people about a child being beaten up by women in Prakashnagar area.

The police officials reached the spot and found a child crying. During further enquiry the child informed police about the inhuman behaviour of his grandmother and aunt. The child informed police that the accused often keeps him hungry and they do not allow him entry inside the house for coming late. Since he lives with his father, he does not allow the child to go to his mother who lives in another area.

The police team after verifying all the details booked the accused under relevant sections and the child was taken to Sassoon General Hospital for treatment. Further investigation in the case is underway.
