Pune: 128 Citizens Return Safely from Dubai, Efforts On to Bring Back Remaining Stranded Residents

Pune, 5th March 2026: A total of 128 citizens from Pune district who had travelled to Dubai have safely returned so far, District Collector Jitendra Dudi said on Thursday.

According to the district administration, 246 citizens from Pune district had travelled to Dubai. Of these, 111 citizens returned to Pune on Wednesday. An additional 17 citizens arrived on Thursday, taking the total number of returnees to 128.

Officials said the flight schedules of 28 citizens have been rescheduled, and arrangements are being made to bring them back to India soon.
However, 90 citizens are still awaiting flight tickets. The district administration said coordination is underway with the concerned authorities to facilitate their return at the earliest.

Collector Jitendra Dudi stated that the administration is continuously following up with the relevant agencies to ensure that all citizens stranded in Dubai are brought back to India as soon as possible.
