Pune: 12th edition of ‘Taalchakra’ to take place on the Makar Sankrant

Pune, 7th January: Punekars will once again witness and enjoy a musical extravaganza during Taalchakra, a one-day music festival. This is the first music festival in the country dedicated to the percussion instruments.

This year’s Taalchakra will be organized on Tuesday, 14th January at 6:00pm at the Pandit Farms on D.P. road.

This is the 12th year of Taalchakra festival. Entry to this year’s festival is free and free passes can be obtained from Ticket Khidee website.

This year’s Taalchakra festival will showcase renowned artists like Rakesh Chaurasiya (Flute), Selva Ganesh (Khanjira), Nitin Shankar (Percussions), Navin Sharma (Dholak), Nilesh Parab (Dholki), Anant (Mridangam), Shikhar Naad Qureshi (Djembe), Suranjan Khandalkar (Vocals), Abhishek Shinkar (Harmonium), Sheetal Kolwalkar (Kathak) along with performance by Padmashri Pandit Vijay Ghate.

The event will be anchored by Milind Kulkarni.
