Meanwhile, no action has been taken against any unauthorized hoarding by the Yerwada Ward Office in the current month.

Many people earn lakhs a month by erecting unauthorized hoardings in private spaces on many roads, including major highways in the city, especially in the suburbs. Since there is no concrete action from the ward office, unauthorized hoardings have remained erected in the suburbs for the past few years. Defacement of the city and erection of unauthorized hoardings is leading to major income losses for the municipality.

The Municipal Corporation has appointed a private organization to conduct a survey of unauthorized hoardings in the city and suburbs. After the survey and report of the organization, the field office has now started taking action against these hoardings.

The Zonal Office has pulled down 13 unauthorized hoardings on Porwal Road in Lohegaon this week. Multiple unauthorized hoardings are still present in the area. However, citizens have expressed their hope that the municipal corporation will maintain continuity in its actions without succumbing to any political pressure.
