Pune: 13 Vehicles Set on Fire in Pimpri Chinchwad Housing Society; Resident Arrested
Pimple Nilakh, 6th March 2025: A 27-year-old resident of Kshitij Preston Woods, a housing society in Pimple Nilakh, Pune, was arrested for allegedly setting fire to 13 vehicles parked in the society’s parking area. The incident occurred in the early hours of yesterday, causing damage worth lakhs.
Swapnil Shivsharan Pawar, the accused, reportedly used flammable substances to ignite the vehicles around 3:30 AM. The Sangvi Police Station received a complaint from Neminath Bhanudas Jamge, a 62-year-old resident of the same society, leading to Pawar’s arrest.
The affected vehicles belonged to various residents of Kshitij Preston Woods who had parked them in the designated parking area. The motive behind the act remains unclear as police continue their investigation into the incident.
