Pune : 14-Year-Old Child Leave Home After Scolded By Mother, Reunited With Family Through Child Helpline By RPF At Daund

Pune 9th August 2023: The Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel at Daund Railway Station in the Solapur Division of the Central Railway rescued and reunited a 14-year-old child who had left his house in Nanded after a fight with brother following which he was scolded by mother. The child was spotted traveling in the Pune-Nizamabad Express. The alert staff of the railway took him to the railway station office where a detailed inquiry revealed that he had left home after a fight.

According to the railway officials, the child hails from Bolsa village of Umri tehsil of the Nanded district and he studies in the ninth class at school there. He had a fight with his younger brother following which his mother scolded him. This was enough for him to leave the house without informing anyone on August 7. When inquired further he informed the railway officials that he was going to his uncle’s house in Pune.

The railway officials later called his family members and confirmed the details. The child was later handed over to the child helpline CWC employee at the Pune Railway Station to reunite him with his family. The Indian Railways has been running operation ‘Nanhe Farishtey’ to rescue and reunite children who leave their families for various reasons.
