Pune : Mobile Phones Recovered From Prisoners At Yerawada Jail Again, Case Registered
Pune 9th August 2023: In yet another incident reported at the Yerawada Central Jail in Pune, mobile phones were found with the prisoners inside the jail premises. Two mobile phones and two sim cards have been seized from the prisoners and a case in this regard has been registered with the Yerawada Police Station.
According to police, the mobile phones were recovered on two occasions on August 5 and August 6 inside the prison. The accused identified as Talim Mohammad Khan, Raju Tukaram Aswale, Sachin alias Pappu Dattatray Gholap and Akash Uttam Randive have been booked by police in the case.
According to the complaint, the prison officials had received information about Talim Khan using a mobile phone inside the prison. Accordingly he was confiscated and a mobile phone was recovered from his possession. In another incident reported on August 6, a mobile phone was recovered from another accused Raju Aswale and it was revealed that Gholap, Randive helped him get the mobile phone from outside the prison for usage following which they were also booked in the case.
