Pune: 15 kg Cannabis Seized From Supermarket Shop In Bavdhan

Bavdhan, January 6, 2021: Cannabis (marijuana) weighing 15 kg 809 grams has been seized from a supermarket shop and a trader’s house in Bavdhan. The action was taken by the anti-narcotics cell on Monday (January 4) at 3.30 pm.

The arrested accused has been identified as Premsingh Ratansingh Champawat (38), resident of Patel Nagar, Bavdhan, who is a native of Rajasthan. Police Naik Santosh Bhalerao has lodged a complaint at Hinjawadi police station against him.

According to police, the accused Champawat owns a shop called Welcome Super Market in Hirai Niwas Building at Patel Nagar in Bavdhan. Police received information that he had kept Cannabis in the shop.

Police raided the shop and house of accused Champawat and seized 15 kg 809 grams of cannabis as well as mobile phones, weighing scales, plastic bags, cannabis filling equipment, cash amounting to Rs 4,58,915. Hinjewadi police are investigating.
