According to DCP Manchak Ipper, Ashok had gone out with his friends as they had received information through Instagram that some children from another group would break their pigeon cage. They had taken choppers. However, the other group did not reach the spot near Avishkar society in Borhadewade, Moshi. The boys were drinking. Meanwhile, there was a dispute between Ashok and his friends over sharing cigarettes. One of them hit him with the chopper resulting in his death. Three boys have been nabbed while two are on the run.
