Pune: Strong Blow To NCP Leader Eknath Khadse As ACB Seeks Re-Investigation Of Bhosari Land Scam

Pune, 30th July 2022: In the case of the Bhosari land scam, the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has submitted an application in the court for a re-investigation of the case. It is being said that Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has given a strong blow to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Leader Eknath Khadse regarding the Bhosari scam.

Regarding the matter of re-investigation, the court has given the date of August 26 for the next hearing. After Khadse got a clean chit in the Bhosari plot scam, ACB has again submitted an application to the court for a fresh investigation in the case.

Acting on the orders of the Mumbai High Court, the ACB had booked Khadse, the former revenue minister in the Fadanvis government, his wife Mandakini Khadse, son-in-law Girish Chaudhary and others in April 2017 in connection with allegations made by Pune-based realtor Hemant Gawande to the Bundgarden police station on May 30, 2016.

Gawande had alleged that Khadse misused his power as a minister and purchased land in the Bhosari area, owned by Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC), in the name of his wife and son-in-law at the cost of Rs 3.75 crore, as against the market price of Rs 40 crore. Also, he had moved to the court in this regard.
