Pune: 16 teams for the 19th edition of Ankur Joglekar Memorial Inter IT Cricket Championship Cup 2024-25

Pune, 21st November 2024: A total of 16 teams from various leading IT companies of Pune and its vicinity will be seen in action at the 19th edition of “Ankur Joglekar Memorial” Inter IT Cricket Championship Cup 2024-2025 which is being organized by IDeaS a SAS Company in association with Kolte-Patil Developers Limited from 23rd November 2024.

K. S. PRASHANT [Managing Director [India], IDeaS a SAS Company], Wing Commander Uday Joglekar, President, Ankur Joglekar Memorial Foundation & Father of Ankur Joglekar and Vijay Joglekar, VP of Ankur Joglekar Memorial Foundation & Uncle of Ankur Joglekar said that Ankur Joglekar lost his life in a fatal road accident in the year 2005, an employee of IDeaS company Ankur Joglekar was a good cricket player. He was a good all-rounder. He represented the State Squad for the Under-19 team and was on the probable list of the National Team of Vidharba.

AJM inter IT Cricket Tournament is just an initiative taken by IDeaS a SAS Company for the last 19 years to keep the memories of Ankur Joglekar alive and also to raise awareness about Safe Driving of Vehicles, Road Safety & Traffic Disciplines of Pune. This will be the 19th year of the AJM Inter IT Cricket T-20 Tourney organized in fond memories of their employee ANKUR JOGLEKAR by “IDeaS a sas Company”.

This year, Kolte-Patil Developers Limited has partnered with IDeaS, a SAS Company, to promote traffic awareness among the IT workforce in Pune through this tournament.

Top IT companies of Pune and vicinity including INFOSYS (winners), TCS (runners-up), Tech Mahindra, Cognizant, KPIT, IDeaS, Dassault Systemes, Cybage, Yardi, Amdocs, SS&C Advent, Mastercard, Deutsche Bank, Synechron, Bosch and Aurus.

There will be 4 pools & in each pool, there will be 4 teams. Each team will be playing 3 League matches in the initial round. The matches will be played on a League cum Knockout basis. 2 teams leading the points chart from each pool will qualify for the “QUARTER FINAL Round” & then the “SEMI Finals”, the best 2 teams will play the “GRAND FINALE” of the “AJM 2024-25” on 12th January 2025 Sunday.

The venue of the matches is PCMC VARROC VENGSARKAR GROUND, Thergoan, Pune & Hajare Ground, Moshi, Pune will be played only on Saturdays & Sundays.

The tournament offers total prize money of Rs.1,51,000/- which consists of cash prizes to the Winners Rs.60,000/-, Runners-Up Rs.30,000/-, Man of The Series Rs.10,000/-, Best Batsman of the Tournament Rs.5,000/-, Best Bowler of the Tournament Rs.5,000/- for Men’s.

8 ladies’ teams will compete for the Championship Title of Women’s AJM 2024-25. Deutsche Bank, KPIT, Tech Mahindra, Springer Nature, Veritas, Infosys, Capgemini, and Dassault Systemes have confirmed their participation.

The Women’s tournament has a total prize of Rs.41,000/- which consists of cash prizes to the Winners Rs.20,000/-, Runners Up Rs.10,000/-, Player of The Series Rs.5,000/-, Best Batter of the Tournament Rs.3,000/-, Best Bowler of the Tournament Rs.3,000/- for Women’s.

The Tournament opening match will be played between INFOSYS and IDeaS a SAS Company on 23rd November 2024 (Saturday) at PCMC VARROC VENGSARKAR GROUND, Thergoan, Pune.

The inauguration will be graced by the presence of K. S.
