Pune: 16-Year-Old Boy Drowns In School’s Swimming Pool, Police Investigation On
Hadapsar, 14th May 2023: Pune witnessed a heartbreaking incident as a 16-year-old boy drowned while swimming in the Sadhana School swimming pool. The Hadapsar police have registered a case of accidental death in connection with the incident.
Krishna Ganesh Shinde, a resident of Malwadi Kalubai Vasahat in Hadapsar, and a ninth-grade student at Sadhana School, went swimming in the pool accompanied by his maternal uncle. The swimming pool is located near the school’s entrance. At around 9 am on Saturday, Krishna entered the pool while his uncle joined him.
Krishna’s uncle realized that he was missing from the water and discovered him submerged in the pool. Others present quickly pulled Krishna out and rushed him to a nearby hospital. Despite efforts, the doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The exact cause of Krishna’s death is yet to be determined, pending the autopsy report. The police have initiated an investigation to ascertain if lifeguards were present at the swimming pool during the incident.
