Pune : 17 Roads To Remain Closed And Heavy Vehicles Banned In City For Ganesh Visarjan, Know Details

Pune 26th Sept 2023: The Pune City Police have issued a list of roads that will remain closed on September 28 on the ocassion of Ganpati visarjan in the city. The city police have also banned movement of heavy vehicles in the city during the visarjan procession period.

The police officials are prepared to maintain the law and order situation in the city during the visarjan procession. Special squads such as Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS), Riot Control Police (RCP), QRT (Quick Response Team) etc will be deployed on the routes that will be used for the procession by ganesh Mandals. A total of over 9,000 policemen including the officers will remain present on duty and over 2,000 ganesh mandals from city will organise procession for the visarjan on September 28, said police.

2) Laxmi Road
3) Bajirao Road
4) Kumthekar Road
5) Ganesh Road
6) Kelkar Road
7) Tilak Road
8) Shastri Road
9) Jangli Maharaj Road
10) Karve Road
11) Ferguson Road
12) Bhandarkar Road
13) Pune-Satara Road (Between Volga Chowk to Jedhe Chowk)
14) Pune-Solapur Road (Between Seven Loves Chowk to Jedhe Chowk)
15) Prabhat Road (Between Deccan Police Station to Shelar Mama Chowk)
16) Bagade Chowk (Between Sonya Maruti Chowk to Phadke Haud Chowk)
17) Guru Nanak Road (Devji Baba Chowk to Hamje Khan Chowk and Govind Halwai Chowk)
