Pune: 17-Year-Old Dies By Suicide, Reason Yet To Be Ascertained
Daund, 19th December 2022: A youth died by suicide by hanging himself in Daund taluka.
The deceased student has been identified as Somnath Balu Vetal (17), a resident of Roti village, Daund. The Vetal family lives in the Dhumal Vasti area of Roti village.
Somnath’s mother had come to Pune two days ago for work. Somnath’s mother contacted him on his mobile. However, he did not respond. So Somnath’s mother informed the neighbours about this. Somnath’s mother returned home in the evening when she found Somnath had died by suicide by hanging himself.
The reason behind Somnath’s suicide could not be understood. The villagers said he was beaten up due to a love affair a few days ago. He was studying in class 11 at a college in Varanawad.
The police have registered a case of accidental death. Further investigation is going on.
