Pune: 175 mm Rainfall In Lonavla In 24 Hours
Lonavla, 19th July 2021: Rains lashed the Lonavla and Khandala area on Sunday (18th July ) afternoon. The city of Lonavla received 175 mm of rain in 24 hours. The Pavana dam area received 65 mm of rain.
It started raining in Lonavla city on Saturday. The city received 258 mm of rain in the two days. Some roads in Nangargaon, Raywood, Tungarli, Valvan, and Bazar areas of Lonavla city were flooded on Sunday.
The city of Lonavla has received 1675 mm (65.91 inches) of rainfall so far this year. The Pawana dam area has received 738 mm of rainfall to date. As of now, 37.85 percent of water is available in the dam.
The India meteorological department (IMD) predicted heavy rains for the next five days in the state, including Mumbai and the Konkan coast. Citizens are advised to check the warning before going out of the house.
