Pune: 1933 new Corona patients in Pune district, 73 deaths

Pune, Aug 31, 2020: With the addition of 1933 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 1,70,314 in Pune district. Also, 2972 patients got discharged from hospitals while 73 people died.
Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 1,70,314 patients 1,32,601 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 4134 people have died. There are still 33,694 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 33,694, 15,273 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 7,33,496 people have been tested in the district.
The 1,70,314 patients include 95,373 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 49,330 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 3495 from Cantonment areas, 16,966 are from Rural areas, and 5150 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,621,245 across the country. Out of this, 2,774,801 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 64,469 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 781,975 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
