Pune: 21 Kg Ganja Seized From Smuggler In Wanwadi
Wanwadi, 15th March 2023: A criminal who got out on bail in a robbery case started drug smuggling. In this case, the Anti-Narcotics Squad arrested the smuggler from Wanwadi and seized 21 kg of ganja worth Rs 4.24 lakh from him.
The arrested person has been identified as Harshad Hanumant Thorat (20), a resident of Siddharth Nagar, NIBM Road, Kondhwa.
Thorat was arrested for robbery. He got bail from the court in this case. Vishal Dalvi, a police officer from the Anti-Narcotics Squad of the crime branch, received the information that Thorat, who came out of jail, started smuggling drugs. After getting information that he was coming to Wanwadi to sell ganja, the team laid a trap and detained him. 21 kg 200 grams of ganja, and a mobile worth Rs 4.24 lakh were seized from Thorat.
Under the guidance of Police Commissioner Retesh Kumaarr, Joint Commissioner Sandeep Karnik, Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Zende, ACP Sunil Pawar, a team of Police Inspector Sunil Thopte, Assistant Inspector Shailja Jankar, Vishal Dalvi, Dnyaneshwar Ghorpade, Maruti Pardhi, Sandeep Shirve, Rahul Joshi, Sandesh Kakade, Nitesh Jadhav carried out the operation.
