Pune: 22 Teams Will Face Off In Inaugural City Cup 2021 Knock-Out Tournament From Today

Pune, 12th November 2021: Twenty-two city teams drawn from various divisions of the Poona District Football Association (PDFA) will face off in the inaugural City Cup 2021 knock-out tournament which begins at the City Sports Arena, Moshi-Pune from November 12 to 21.

The tournament to be held under the aegis of PDFA is the first club tournament to be played after the pandemic restrained and shut down sports activity to be held.

Among the Super Division teams to feature in the tournament include Roopali S.C; AIYFA; Parshuramians F.C, Indrayani S.C and Sangam Young Boys who would take on the challenge of teams from First, Second and Third Division.

The participating teams will be treated to play their matches on a freshly laid turf at the facility, which is another first offer by a private club.

Apart from the trophies and cash awards for the winners and runners-up, individual awards for Best Player, Goalkeeper, Defender, Midfield, and Forward will be handed out.

The opening match will be played on Saturday 13th November between host’s City F.C Pune and AFA Samford FC at 2.00 p.m, followed by KP XI and Puneri Warriors F.C.
