Pune: 3433 new Corona patients in Pune district, 56 deaths
Pune, Sep 2, 2020: With the addition of 3433 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 1,73,747, in Pune district. Also, 2438 patients got discharged from hospitals while 56 people died.
Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 1,73,747 patients 1,35,039 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 4183 people have died. There are still 34,636 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 34,636, 15188 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 749313 people have been tested in the district.
The 1,73,747 patients include 97,068 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 50,296 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 3529 from Cantonment areas, 17,539 are from Rural areas, and 5315 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,769,523 across the country. Out of this, 2,901,908 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 66,333 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 801,282 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
