Pune: 4-Year-Old Girl Dies While Grandfather Injured In Road Accident While Returning From School

Alandi, 27th July 2022: A 4-year-old girl died in an accident while she and her grandfather were walking home from school. The incident took place on Monday at about 11 am while the girl and her 65-year-old grandfather were returning from school. They were struck from behind by a dumper truck.

The girl, Tanisha Thorave suffered significant injuries and was rushed to the hospital. However, she passed away because of her severe wounds. Her grandfather Kisan Eknath Thorave (65), also suffered many wounds.

On Monday, her grandfather dropped her off at school at 7 am and picked her up again to take her home around 11 am. The truck hit them near Goshala on Alandi-Wadgaon road.

Santosh Mal, the truck driver has been taken into custody by police.
