Pune: 4-Year-Old Girl Raped, Police Arrest Accused
Pune, 4th July 2021: A four-year-old girl was raped under the pretext of giving snacks on Saturday. Police said that the accused has bitten the girl’s lips and cheeks before raping her.
Based on a complaint from her mother, Loni Kalbhor police station under Pune city police has arrested the 30-year-old accused. A special court has remanded him to police custody till July 7.
According to police, the accused hails from Bihar and works as a labourer. On Saturday afternoon, when the girl was playing outside her house, the accused lured her away under the pretext of giving her snacks. He took her to his room and sexually assaulted her.
The incident came to light when her mother noticed bite marks after she was found crying. Police were informed and during interrogation, the accused confessed to raping the girl in his room. Police Sub-Inspector Niketan Nimbalkar is further investigating the case.
