Pune: 40 Persons Recognised With Indira Innovation Excellence Awards 2022

Pune, 27th March 2022: The Indira Group of Institutes held the prestigious “Indira Innovation Excellence Awards- 2022”, at the Indira College of Engineering and Management, Parandwadi on the evening of 26th March 2022, Saturday.

 

The awards ceremony, a captivating event with dynamic awardees, excellent speakers and a live band with enthralling music, was jointly organized by the Indira College of Engineering and Management and Indira Global Business School.

 

At the event, Industry stalwarts were recognised and awarded for their contribution in their domains at the hands of the Chief Guest, Mr Tushar Desai-Global Head of HR, Shared Services-FIS and by the guests of honours, IPS Krishna Prakash, Commissioner of Police, Pimpri Chinchwad and IPS Anant Shankar Takwale, Regional Passport officer, Pune.

 

The theme for the awards was “Innovation in Excellence”. Nearly 40 plus deserving individuals and organisations from various professions like Human Resources, Engineering, IT and Manufacturing, were recognized for their outstanding contribution to their specialized fields. All these people including top notch corporate leaders, business leaders, artists and others were honoured with a trophy and citation. The innovative work of these professionals is exemplary, highly inspirational and holds utmost value for the upcoming young generations. The Indira Group is always at the forefront in recognising these talents and contributions of professionals to industry and conducts corporate summits, seminars and award functions every year.

 

Speaking on the occasion, the chief Guest, Mr Tushar Desai said that innovation holds the key to excellence in any field. He cited the example of how his company pumps in divisible profits into innovative practices. He said, “We are in top three in our field and we drive back our profits into innovation.” He remarked that the only way to excel in any field is innovation.

 

Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash, who was the guest of honour at the ceremony, said that, “Out of the box thinking has been very crucial in progress of the society.”. He added that, if the youth of the country adopt innovative practices in professions and living, India can rise to Swarn Yug, (golden age).

 

 

 

He awed the students with his inspirational talk and his thoughts on how the students must know what is to be done and how it is to be done. He further motivated the students with quotes by Albert Einstein and Swami Vivekanada to have nerves of steel, muscles of iron and minds of thunderbolt. He appreciated Indira group for inculcating the good hobbits of innovation and creativity in students.

 

Some of the prominent companies whose leaders were awarded that were Zensar, Adler Flug, Valley Gauge, Intellswift, Emcure, Bajaj Alliance, Bridgestone, Finolex, Detaexcel , Alfa Laval, Force Motors, Sanghvi, Vascon, Veritas, Persistent, The contribution of the HR fraternity was also recognized by awards in the organization category and HR professionals from some of the most prominent organizations like Skoda-Volkswagen, Foseco India Ltd, Force Motors and Bridgestone.

 

Students of ICEM & IGBS enthralled the audience with their mesmerizing dance performances while the comedian Mandar Bhide left the audience in splits by his witty stand-up comedy act. The highlight of the evening was the” Lambada Band” that got the audience into the spirit of the evening getting out of their seats and moving to the catchy numbers that the band belted out on stage.

 

 

The event was hosted by ICEM and IGBS jointly. Present on the occasion were Dr Tarita Shankar, Chairperson, Indira Group of Institutes, Group Director, Prof Chetan Wakalkar, Senior Trustee Smt. Sarita Wakalkar , Dr. Sunil Ingole, Director ICEM, Dr. Virendra Tatake, Director, IGBS. Others like trustee members Baba Jadhavrao, Adesh Gaikwad, Girish Parekh and others were also present.
