Pune: 40-Year-Old Man Nabbed for Sexually Assaulting 8-Year-Old Boy in Pimpri Chinchwad
Pimpri Chinchwad, 31st January 2025: Pimpri Chinchwad Police have arrested a 40-year-old man for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old boy in a shocking discovery. The incident occurred on January 28th in Bijli Nagar, Chinchwad, during the morning hours. The assault took place in broad daylight while the boy was playing.
The accused, identified as Nagnath Shrihari Kasale, a 40-year-old resident of Kalewadi Phata, worked as a construction labourer. The boy informed his parents about the incident, and they subsequently filed a report with the Chinchwad Police Station. A 42-year-old person reported the incident to the police on 29th January.
According to police reports, the victim had gone to play with his friend at the friend’s house around 11 AM on the day of the incident. At that time, a man in a red checkered shirt inappropriately touched the boy on his way home. The child told his mother about the incident, who then informed the father.
The father inquired about the suspect in the neighbourhood and learned that he worked at a nearby construction site. The victim’s father and neighbours searched for the accused at the construction site but couldn’t find him. However, when the construction site owner showed them some photographs, the children recognized the accused as Nagnath Kasale.
Following the complaint filed with the police, the Chinchwad police arrested the accused. There are rumours that the accused may have committed a similar offence against another boy from the same area. However, the parents of the other boy have refused to file a complaint. The Chinchwad Police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
