Pune : 50-Year Old Man Dies After PMPML Bus Knocks Him Down
Pune 12th August 2023: In a tragic incident reported near Maldhakka Chowk in the city on Thursday, a 50-year-old person lost his life after he was hit by a Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) bus. The incident took place at around 7:30 pm on Thursday. A case in this regard has been registered and the PMPML driver has been booked in the matter.
According to police, the deceased identified as Vishu Tukaram Wanjale (50), a resident of Khdakwasla was hit from behind near Maldhakka Chowk by the PMPML bus while he was standing there. He sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, the doctors declared him dead.
A case in this regard has been registered at Bundgarden Police Station under sections 279, 304(a) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) along with section 184 of the Motor Vehicle Act. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
