Pune: 6-Year-Old Boy Kidnapped From Pune Station, Cops Rescue Him In Gulbarga

Pune, 12th January 2023: A man kidnapped a six-year-old boy while his mother was drunk at Pune Station. Police investigation revealed that the child was taken to Gulbarga. Pune police have arrested him with the help of Gulbarga police and rescued the boy.

The kidnapper has been identified as Iqbal Hasan Sheikh (32), a resident of Pedgaon, Kolhapur, currently residing at Gulbarga Railway Station, Karnataka.

A 40-year-old woman has filed a complaint with Bundgarden police. According to the information provided by the police, the complainant is a resident of Pimpri. She is addicted to alcohol. She came to Pune station on 9th January with her six-year-old son. There she met Iqbal Sheikh. The complainant again drank the remaining liquor with him. Soon she fell asleep at 11 pm due to intoxication.

After that, when she woke up at 2 am, she realized that her son was not with her. She rushed to Bund Garden police and lodged a complaint. According to her complaint, the police checked the CCTV of the area. A suspect was found in it.

Technical investigation revealed that the kidnapper had taken the child to Gulbarga. After that, the police contacted the Gulbarga police and informed them. Gulbarga police have arrested Iqbal Sheikh and taken the boy into custody.

A team of Bund Garden police has been dispatched to arrest the accuser. Why Sheikh abducted the boy will come after further investigation. Assistant Police Inspector Sandeep Madhale is investigating.
