Pune: Abandoned Newborn Found in Pimple Nilakh; Sangvi Police Launch Investigation

Pimple Nilakh, 10th January 2024: In a distressing incident, an alive infant was discovered on the roadside in the Kranti Nagar area of Pimple Nilakh. The incident came to light around 5 p.m. on Tuesday (9th).

Ravindra Raghunath Ingwale, a 46-year-old resident of Pimple Nilakh, filed a complaint at the Sangvi Police Station, leading to the registration of a case against an unknown person.

According to the police, the male infant, estimated to be one day old, was left abandoned in an open space behind the Satwai temple at Kranti Nagar in Pimple Nilakh. The police were alerted after hearing the sound of the infant, who was wrapped in a green cloth. The police promptly took custody of the infant and admitted him to the hospital, where his health was reported to be good.

Sangvi Police are investigating the case further to identify the individuals involved in abandoning the newborn.
