Pune: About 11 Lakh Children To Be Given Pulse Polio Vaccine In The District Today

Pune, January 31, 2021: “Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign is being carried out regularly to eliminate poliomyelitis (Polio) from the state and the country. In the vaccination drive today, every child up to 5 years should be vaccinated, no child should be deprived of vaccination”, appealed Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of Pune District Ajit Pawar.

He inaugurated the District Level Vaccination Campaign to immunize children up to the age of five years in the National Pulse Polio Vaccination Campaign at Baramati Women’s Hospital today.

Pawar said that the aim of the campaign in Pune district is to vaccinate about 11,32,351 children. Accordingly, vaccination is being carried out at 6,700 booths in the district today. The vaccination campaign is being carried out with the help of 6,254 teams. The Deputy Chief Minister also appealed to ensure that every child up to the age of five years should be vaccinated.
