Pune: About Eight Kg Of Ganja Worth Rs 80,000 Seized; Case Registered Against Five

Pune, 16th January 2023: Khed-Shivapur-Rajgarh police seized about eight kg of ganja worth around Rs 80,000 from a car at Khed Shivapur toll booth on Monday (January 16) morning. Police seized the car and ganja from the possession of the accused. Also, the police have detained five people in this case and have registered a case against them.

The names of those arrested are Ismail Babu Sayyaid (30), a resident of Kangalla, taluka Hukeri, district Belgaum, Saifali Shabbir Sutar (23), a resident of Nipani, taluka Hukeri, district Belgaum, Karnataka, Jainul Gajbar Mulla (35), a resident of Solapur Darga Galli, taluka Hukeri, district Belgaum, Karnataka, Jiaul Rehman Riaz Mujawar (20), a resident of Harnapurgarh, taluka Hukeri, district Belgaum, Karnataka as Aju Ajgar Alli Khan (21), a resident of Mankhurd, Mumbai.

Rajgad police informed about this. On Monday morning, the police personnel of the Rajgarh Traffic Department was carrying out traffic operations on the vehicles at the Khed-Shivapur toll booth. At around 11.00 am, the traffic police got suspicious of a car going towards Satara. Taking the said car aside, the police inspected it. At this time, ganja was found in a passenger bag kept in that car.

The police seized the car in their possession and eight kg of ganja worth around Rs 80,000. Also, a case has been registered against five persons in this matter.

Rajgad Police Inspector Sachin Patil, Assistant Police Inspector Manoj Navsare, Sachin Kadam, Nilesh Howal, Amol Suryavanshi, Ajit Mane, Santosh Todkar, Traffic Warden Pankaj Shinde carried out the said operation.
