Pune, 28th May 2024:As revelations emerge surrounding the family of the minor boy involved in the tragic Porsche incident in Kalyani Nagar, attention is drawn to past controversies and allegations involving the accused, his father, and his grandfather. Renowned as prominent developers in Pune, the family’s construction business has faced scrutiny in recent times. Founded by the accused minor’s great-grandfather in the 1980s, the company has grown to become a significant player in the real estate sector, boasting a valuation of Rs 5 to 6 billion today.

Initially focusing on constructing 5-star clubs, the family’s development company expanded its operations in the 2000s, venturing into residential projects across Pune, including Kalyani Nagar and Wagholi. However, recent events have shed light on the family’s tumultuous past, including a division within the company in the 2000s, which led to diversified projects and a shift towards infrastructure development.

Following the tragic car accident, the family’s businesses have faced public scrutiny, prompting other divided entities to distance themselves from the incident through press releases. Presently engaged in commercial projects across Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, the family recently finalized a significant land transaction in Wagholi. However, in the aftermath of the accident, their online presence, including the company’s website and LinkedIn profile, has been deactivated.

Not without controversy, the family has been embroiled in various disputes in the past. Allegations of ties to the underworld and an attempted murder plot against a former Shiv Sena corporator have surfaced against the minor’s grandfather. Additionally, accusations of land grabbing have been leveled, although the family’s legal representatives maintain their innocence, citing exoneration in previous incidents.
