Pune: Action Taken Against 53 People For Dancing On Obscene Songs At Resort In Lonavala
Lonavala, 3rd February 2023: Pune rural police have taken action against people who performed an obscene dance on the sound system of Whispering Wood Resort in Lonavala. This action was taken under the guidance of DySP Satyasai Karthik (Lonavala Sub Division). 53 people have been detained in this operation, including 44 men and nine women.
IPS officer Karthik received information that some men and women were dancing to obscene songs at the resort. Allegedly, the sound system was on full blast and the people were dancing using obscene actions and gestures. Based on the information received, DySP Karthik and his team from Lonavala City Police Station raided the hotel.
At that time, 53 people were found violating the rules and regulations by performing obscene dances. The police detained all the men and women and confiscated the sound system.
Police constable Sandeep Ajinath Borade has filed a complaint at Lonavla city police station. The police have registered a case against 53 persons under IPC sections 294 and 34 under Maharashtra Police Act.
