Pune: Action Will Be Taken If Encroachments At Navale Bridge Area Not Removed Within Seven Days
Pune, 8th December 2022: There has been unauthorised encroachment on the service roads on both sides between Khed Shivapur-New Katraj Tunnel-Navale Bridge-Warje on National Highway No 4. National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has requested owners to remove these encroachments and service channels within seven days at their own expense.
Sanjay Kadam, project director of NHAI, Pune, informed, “If the owners do not remove the unauthorised encroachment and construction without permission within the time limit, they will be booked under the Control of National Highways (Land and Traffic) Act, 2002. Also, the cost of encroachment action and penalty will be recovered from the concerned.”
He has clarified that NHAI will not be responsible for any damage or inconvenience while removing these encroachments and improving the service road on behalf of NHAI.
