Pune, 10th June 2022: After a fire gutted a rooftop restaurant Sky Garage in Aundh on Wednesday early morning, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has served notices to three restaurants and bars in the city.
The notices have been issued to Sabores on SB road, 360 Degrees and Barbeque Nation in the Deccan area for unauthorized construction.
PMC Executive Engineer Bipin Shinde said, “Many restaurants have illegally put cover on the terrace whereas permission was granted to the building for open air terrace.”
After the fire incident, PMC has begun checking rooftop restaurants for NOCs from the Fire Brigade and building department of PMC.
Although there was no casualty during the fire incident on Wednesday, most of the movable property was destroyed during the incident.
