Pune: After Success Of Heritage Walk, PMC To Start Signature Walk To Sinhagad Fort And Shivsrushti
Pune 22nd Sept 2023: The Pune Municipal Corporation is soon likely to start Signature Walk to Sinhagad Fort and Shivsrushti for citizens. The decision was taken after the civic body’s initiative Heritage Walk received a good response. The civic officials recently conducted a demo walk to start the signature walk to the two historic places.
According to officials, a bus will be arranged for the Signature Walk from Swargate from where the visitors will be taken to the respective places with a guide. The citizens taking part in this tour will be taken to historic places and they will be made aware of rich history during the walk.The officials are also planning to add more historic places in this walk and it will also be opened for foreign tourists who come to visit the city.
The Municipal Corporation currently runs Heritage Walk from Shaniwarwada to Vishrambaug wada on every Saturday and Sunday. The participants are taken to different historic places in the peth areas of the city during the walk that starts early morning from Shaniwarwada. Sandip Godbole, the renowned historian of the city leads this heritage walk.
