Pune: Agitation Will Start If Hinjawadi Metro Work Does Not Begin In 8 Days- BJP
Pune, 8th November 2021: BJP MP Girish Bapat, MLA Siddharth Shirole, Deputy Mayor Sunita Wadekar and others gave a letter to PMRDA Commissioner Suhas Divase today warning that agitation would take place if work on the proposed Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar metro line is not started in the next eight days.
Work on the Hinjawadi to Shivajinagar metro line connecting Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad has been pending for many years. If this is not completed on time, the additional cost will increase and the people of Pune will have to bear the brunt of it, the BJP leaders said in a statement to PMRDA. They also drew the attention of the commissioner to the fact that the work of Metro needs to be done soon to solve the traffic congestion in Hinjawadi IT Park area.
