Pune Airport: 39 Passengers Tested Covid-19 Positive In December

Pune, 5th January 2021: A total of 39 passengers from domestic flights tested Coronavirus disease (Covid-19) positive in the month of December at the Pune airport. The tests were conducted by the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

 

Considering the outbreak of covid-19 cases in the state of Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Goa the Maharashtra state government-mandated negative RTPCR testing report for passengers coming from these states. The airport receives daily 13 to 17 flight coming from these four states. About 1500 passengers arrive here from these flights.

 

The PMC conducts Covid-19 tests for passengers arriving at the Pune airport. Total 2472 tests were conducted between 1st to 31 December, out of which 39 passengers tested positive for COVID19.
