Rainfall Prediction Across Maharashtra Till 8th January

Pune, 5th January 2021: Indian meteorological department (IMD) has predicted cloudy weather and rainfall across Maharashtra till 8th January. The low-pressure area formed in the north-west part of Arabian sea is impacting the weather in the state.

The trough from north Punjab to the north-east Arabian sea via south-west Rajasthan, Saurashtra & Kutch, north-west Maharashtra persists. These weather conditions are creating disturbance for cold in Maharashtra. This condition will continue till 8th January. The weather will be cloudy, and rainfall may arriving in some parts of the state mainly in Konkan and central Maharashtra region.

 

The data shows rainfall in some districts of the state on Monday (January 3). It includes Kolhapur, Satara, Sangli districts in central Maharashtra, Aurangabad and Jalna districts in Marathwada region and Akola, Nagpur districts in Vidharbha region. The minimum temperature recorded between 17-20 degree Celsius all over the state. This temperature is higher by 6 degree Celsius than the average minimum temperature said IMD.
