Pune Airport Operations Was Suspended For 2 Hours As Runway Lights Went Off
Pune, 23rd November 2021: The flight operations at the Pune airport in Lohegaon had come to a standstill yesterday for two hours as runway lights had stopped functioning from 6 pm to 8 pm. Two flights were diverted, and several others were delayed.
At present, civil flights are allowed between 8 am to 8 pm only.
Sudhir Mehta, president of the Maratha Chamber of Commerce Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA), who was on a flight from Delhi to Pune, shared his experience on Twitter.
Understand from the pune airport authorities that the airport has now resumed operations . Maybe it’s my luck as I keep pushing for for the new airport and improving the current one . 😎

3. If the #pune airport runway work is still happening, then passengers will either postpone or reschedule their trips from Pune or take flights from #Mumbai
This will reduce a lot of anxiety and stress. @aaipunairport say it upfront.— Tania Roy (@taniaroy) November 22, 2021
