Pune Airport: Pre-Book Parking Slot Before Arriving, Facility To Be Available From October
Pune, 2nd September 2022: The parking issue at the Pune airport has been solved with a new multi-level parking. Besides, drivers will also acquire new facilities. You can choose the parking slot you want when you leave for the airport. A parking spot can be booked through the mobile app.
The new multi-level parking opens from 1st October. New concepts have been considered while providing facilities to passengers. Not only the UPI app will be used for pre-booking the parking slot but the tag system will also be adopted for the parking fee, similar to FAST tags used for tax collection at the toll booths.
About Rs 120 crore was spent for the multi-level parking lot built in front of Pune airport with a capacity to accumulate 1,000 vehicles. This place can keep 1,000 four-wheelers and 1,000 two-wheelers. A food court, offices, and other commercial facilities are also included. No change has been made in the parking charges. The previous rate will remain the same.
For this, the pedestrian bridge connecting the parking lot to the airport has been completed. An escalator is also attached to the pedestrian bridge for boarding and alighting of passengers.
