Pune: Ajit Pawar Directs To Start Land Acquisition Process For Ring Road

Pune, October 28, 2020: To alleviate the traffic woes of Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad, the proposed ring road work has been stalled due to delay in the land acquisition process. Considering it, deputy chief minister and district guardian minister Ajit Pawar has directed to expedite the process.
Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) will be constructing the road. The process of land acquisition was expected to get over in two phases. The proposed ring road will be of 172 km long and 110 km will pass through Khed, Shirur, Purandar, Haveli, Bhor and Mulshi.
It requires 2,300 hectare of land and the estimated budget is Rs14,000 crore. The road which will be constructed in two phases will have first phase of 60 kms.
