Kamshet, 9th May 2024: To campaign for the Mahayuti candidate in the Maval Lok Sabha constituency and the sitting MP of Maval, Shrirang Barne, a meeting was held in Kamshet.

Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar, Minister of Industries of Maharashtra Uday Samant, Maval MLA Sunil Shelke, and Former Minister Bala Bhegade were present at this meeting. Ajit Pawar delivered harsh criticisms of his rivals and also issued a warning to his party workers during the meeting.

NCP activists are observed campaigning for Sanjog Waghere, a former colleague who is now a candidate for Mahavikas Aghadi. Regarding this, DCM Ajit Pawar said, “Sanjog Waghere, the Mahavikas Aghadi candidate from Maval, claimed in the media that I blessed him after he touched my feet. Last week, I attended a wedding in Pimpri. Waghere was observing closely and waiting for my arrival. This was all drama. Once I make decisions, I don’t listen to anybody’s father. I have never engaged in ‘match-fixing’

He further said, “We have fought elections against each other in the past, but let’s forget that now. For the sake of development work, I decided to go with Mahayuti. Every NCP activist should work for Mahayuti, and no chaos should be caused because of it. This is not a family election, so let’s put all relations aside until the 13th of May. No one’s betrayal will be tolerated by me.”

Pawar remarked, “The opposition has no valid points to make. Dr. Ambedkar drafted this country’s constitution, yet the Congress defeated him. They are making backward classes feel insecure by suggesting that we will change the constitution.”

He went on to say, “Talegaon, Chakan, and Ranjangaon MIDC are experiencing growth, with new industries emerging. However, some industries are closing due to various problems. Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad are facing significant traffic issues, which won’t be resolved until the metro extends to Dehu or Chakan. We attempted to provide a 24-hour water supply in Pimpri Chinchwad, but encountered obstacles, leading to allegations against me. The issue of the Pavana dam victims remains unresolved, but we are committed to addressing it. This matter will be resolved after the completion of the Code of Conduct.”

NCP’s Sunil Shelke, MLA from Maval, reflected on the past, stating, “Four years ago, NCP and BJP were rivals. We never imagined being united in the Mahayuti alliance. However, to secure significant projects in Maval, we joined forces with Mahayuti, rallying behind Ajit Dada, and campaigned for Shrirang Barne, the Mahayuti candidate for Maval. We resolved our differences and are now committed to Mahayuti’s cause. To bring major projects to our Maval Taluka, we require support from both the Maharashtra and Central Governments. If you’re advocating for the ‘Bow and arrow’ symbol in the morning and the ‘torch’ symbol at night, I will reveal their names and identities after the Lok Sabha elections on June 4th. Let’s remain loyal and avoid betrayal. We must ensure Barne’s victory by a margin of 1.5 lakh votes.”

Mahayuti candidate and incumbent MP of Maval, Shrirang Barne, said, “This is my 9th election and the 3rd Lok Sabha election in my life. I have undertaken development work every time I have been elected, whether as an MP or a simple corporator.
