Pune: Ajit Pawar Warns Of Lockdown Yet Again
Pune, 3rd September 2021: Worried over the rising cases of Covid-19 in Maharashtra State, deputy chief minister Ajit Pawar has warned of locking down the state, if residents failed to follow the Covid appropriate behaviour.
While talking to media here in Pune, Pawar said, “many feel that Covid-19 has ended and have thrown caution to air. Stop this. Do not force us to shut down. Targeting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over opening of the temples.”
He added, “few people have started agitations to open the temples. But this issue is politically motivated. Even Central Government has told us to take precautions, then I do not understand, why people here in Maharashtra are doing politics over it”.
He also spoke about the news of the raid on State Cooperative bank. He appealed media not to give fake news. “I am in politics for the last 40 years. Whenever I speak, I do my homework. Few people resort to the news which is not real. Because of such people cooperative sector is getting bad reputation”, he said.
