Alandi, 3rd December 2023: The organization ‘Shri Bhairavanath Maharaj Utsav Mandal Samast Gramastha Alandikar’ has raised concerns over the exclusion of Alandi villagers in the selection process of the trustee post for Shree Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sanjeevan Samadhi Mandir. To express their dissent, an Alandi Bandh (shutdown) has been declared for Tuesday, with a protest march scheduled.

The recently concluded selection process for the Trustee post at Shree Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sanjeevan Samadhi Mandir involved interviews conducted by the administration with Alandi villagers. However, the ‘Shri Bhairavanath Maharaj Utsav Mandal Samast Gramstha Alandikar’ alleges that despite the interviews, deserving candidates were not selected.

In response to this alleged injustice, a bandh has been called for on Tuesday, set to take place from 6 am to 6 pm. Additionally, a protest march will commence from Talegaon Chowk (Chakan) to Mahadwar Chowk at 10 am on the same day. The organization has officially communicated this decision to the Alandi police.

The timing of the protest coincides with the beginning of the Shree Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj Sanjeevan Samadhi Mandir ceremony, commencing with the Puja on Tuesday. As both the Alandi bandh and the march are scheduled for the same day, the event has garnered significant attention, highlighting the community’s discontent with the trustee selection process.
