Pune : Alcohol-Addict Man Steal Vehicles To Purchase Wine, Three Cases Solves With His Arrest
Pune 7th August 2023: The Crime Branch Unit officials of Pune City Police have arrested a thief for stealing vehicles from various parts of the city which according to police were stolen to purchase alcohol by an alcohol-addict person. The police have solved three cases of vehicle theft with his arrest. The accused identified as Abhishek Sharad Pawar (35) a resident of Guruwar Peth was nabbed in the case,
According to police, the police officials of the crime branch team had received inputs about a person allegedly trying to steal a tempo near P L Deshpande Garden in the city Accordingly, he was nabbed from the spot and during investigation it was revealed that he was addicted to alcohol and to purchase the wine he used to steal vehicles from various parts of the city.
Police have seized three vehicles including two tempos and a car worth Rs 5.50 lakh have been seized from his possession. Three cases registered at Swargate, Hadapsar and Bharati Vidyapeeth Police Station have been solved with his arrest. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
