Pune: Alert Ticket Inspectors Rescue A 10-Year-Old Boy Travelling Alone

Pune, 28th January 2022: Due to the efforts of Pune Railway Division’s Senior Ticket Inspector Milind Gaikwad and Magdum Badam, a 10-year-old boy travelling alone was handed over to NGO Child Helpline.

Both the ticket inspectors were assigned to train number 22105 Mumbai – Pune Indrayani Express.

According to officials, they were on duty in the AC coach and during the routine checking, they saw a 10-year-old child travelling. On questioning the child, it was found that there was no guardian with him. On arrival in Pune, the ticket inspectors along with the Railway Protection Force (RPF) staff took him to the Child helpline NGO “Saathi” located at the station.

As per the protocol fixed by the institution, further action will be taken after instructions are received from the district child welfare committee (CWC).
