Pune: Allegations of Sexual Harassment Surface in Ruby Hall Clinic, HR Manager And Technician Booked
Koregaon Park, 15th November 2023: In the wake of the tragic suicide of 40-year-old Mithali Acharya, who cited sexual harassment and mental torture at Ruby Hall Clinic as the cause, another case of sexual abuse has emerged.
The complainant, a 45-year-old woman staff of Ruby Hospital, has accused a hospital technician of demanding physical favors and issuing threats of termination. The incident has led to a case being registered at Koregaon Park Police Station.
The individuals implicated in the case are Ruby Hall Hospital Technician Balkrishna Shinde, a resident of Bibvewadi, and HR Manager Prabhakar Srivastava. The victim lodged a complaint detailing the events that transpired between April 21, 2023, and the last week of April.
As per the police report, the victim endured obscene gestures and physical assault by Shinde, who allegedly demanded sexual favors and threatened her job security. Disturbed by these actions, the victim reported the incidents to the hospital administration, prompting an inquiry by the HR department. However, HR Manager Prabhakar Srivastava allegedly dismissed her complaints, accusing her of falsehood and even referencing personal scars on her left hand and body.
The ongoing investigation is being handled by female police sub-inspector Ingole.
