Pune: Arrested Terror Suspects Conducted Training Camp In Diveghat – ATS

Pune, 3rd August 2023: Startling details have emerged in the case of a terror suspects arrested from Pune. Zulfiqar Barodawala has been remanded in ATS custody until August 11 on charges related to his involvement in training individuals in bomb blasts.

According to Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Barodawala was reportedly conducting bomb blast training sessions in Diveghat, Pune. His arrest came following suspicions of his association with two other terrorists apprehended from Kothrud.

During the course of the investigation, the ATS has uncovered alarming information. It appears that Zulfikar was not only training individuals but also providing financial support for terrorist activities. Furthermore, the investigation has established his direct contacts with both arrested terrorists.

One of the recently apprehended suspects in this crime is Simab Nasruddin Kazi, a mechanical engineer. Following Kazi’s arrest, action was taken against Barodawala. To date, a total of five people have been arrested in connection with this case.

Investigations reveal that Barodawala provided financial assistance to Muhammad Imran Muhammad Yusuf Khan and Muhammad Yusuf Muhammad Yakub Saki, both of whom were involved in terrorist activities. Additionally, ATS discovered that he maintained regular phone contact with both individuals.

The police and ATS have successfully arrested Mohammad Imran Muhammad Yusuf Khan (age 23) and Mohammad Yusuf Muhammad Yakub Saki (age 24), both residents of Chetna Garden, Mithanagar, Kondhwa. Alongside them, Abdul Qadir Dastgir Pathan (age 32) was taken into custody for harboring terrorists, and Simab Nasruddin Kazi (age 27), a resident of Kondhwa, was arrested for his involvement in providing financial logistics.
