Pune: As Much As Rs 1.09 Crore To Go To PCMC Treasury From Auction Of Vehicles
Pimpri, 18th May 2023: The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has decided to auction diesel and petrol vehicles that are older than 14 years. A total of 120 unused and old vehicles will be auctioned and through this, Rs 1.09 crore will be collected in the municipal treasury.
The state government has given instructions for the use of electric vehicles in local bodies. Accordingly, the municipal corporation has emphasized the purchase of electric vehicles.
The Municipal Corporation has decided to set up charging stations for electric vehicles at various important places in the city. A tender process has recently been implemented for the same. Now the municipal corporation has decided to sell the old diesel and petrol vehicles through auction.
Accordingly, the Municipal Corporation issued a tender for 122 vehicles. In that, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Sub-Regional Transport Office conducted an e-auction by increasing the fare by 10 per cent.
Accordingly, the rate of 23.66 per cent was obtained as Rs 92.96 lakh. Since two of the 122 vehicles are priced below the minimum price, it has been decided to exclude those vehicles and sell 120 vehicles at Rs 92.96 lakh.
Accordingly, 120 vehicles of the municipal corporation will be sold. For that, the municipal corporation will get an income of Rs 1,09,69,000. Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh approved the payment of this money to the treasury and gave the vehicles to the bidders.
