Pune: Aspirants Denied Entry To SSB Exam For Reaching Five Minutes Late
Pune 12th August 2023: At least 12 students including specially abled were denied entry to the Staff Selection Board (SSB) commision recruitment exam after they reached five minutes late to the exam center. The aspirants had come from different parts for the exam that was conducted at Ion Digital Zone in Ramtekdi on Friday.
The denial of entry led to ruckus between the aspirants and staff at the exam center after which the local police were called to intervene. The police also requested the institute to allow them entry but the exam center officials denied citing a mandate on adherence to time for the online exam.
According to officials, some of the aspirants who had come to attend the exam here were specially abled and they were waiting outside the exam center for their writer to reach the spot due to which they reached late to the exam. The exam was scheduled between 2:30 pm and 3:30 pm and the aspirants were expected to reach before 2 pm. However, 12 aspirants who were denied entry reached the exam center at 2:05 pm.
Some of the students claimed that they were preparing for the exam for the last few years and due to rude behaviour of the staff they will have to wait for another year to appear for the exam.
